Eccentric Plug Valves

Series 7800 is double flanged eccentric resilient seated plug/ball valves which are suitable for sewage, slurry, wastewater, waterworks and raw water and applications. Valve ports shall be of round port type. The body seat shall be furnished with a welded-in overlay stainless steel seat, precisely machined inside the valve body for providing high corrosion and wear resistance, long service life and reliability.

Design Features

Eccentrically mounted plugs: When initiating the rotary movement, there is a motion of rotation with super-imposed motion of translation, rubber plug rotates in and out of the seat without friction.

  • The plug is off seated after only few degrees of opening movement (5°), so there is a reduced friction between sealing ring and seat , thereby reducing opening/ closing torque and wear and tear to the valve seat and plug.
  • The eccentric action forces the resilient plug seal firmly against the seat, assuring a positive valve shut off.
  • This design offers excellent controllability, bubble tight shut-off and a smooth operation, plus a reduced flow resistance.

Shaft Bearing (Self-lubricating): The PTFE/SS lined bearing surface provides very low friction coefficient thus reduce the valve operating torque and offering longer life without need for the replacement. bearing shall provide a large area of radial support to the shaft. the shaft is fully supported, greatly reducing shaft fatigue and breakage

Possibility to replace seat in-line: The main seal can be replaced in the open position after dismantling the inspection cover and without removing the valve from the pipeline thus saving substantial expenditure and costs for the user.

Self-Flushing: The flow is guided around the plug which ensures stable characteristics and flushing effect in gap areas. Solids accumulated behind the closed gate shall rush through when the plug starts to open.

Rubber Seal: Plug shall have an adjustable and removable Seal for easy re-adjustment or replacement. The disc rubber seal shall be of one piece molded construction and secured in its place by means of a retaining ring that is fixed to the disc by means of stainless-steel fasteners. Valve design shall allow the replacement of disc seal without removing the valve from pipeline
